AbsoGRAPH Signs started as a vinyl cutting hobby I use to do in my spare time off from my full time job working as an audio/visual supervisor for a fortune 500 hotel company back in the early 90's. With my 24" vinyl cutter I would cut vinyl for cars and small signs for friends and family. In 2005, with the support of my wife, I decided to follow my dream of owning my own company and decided that what better way to be happy than to combine my passion and my dreams into one venture. Thus, AbsoGRAPH Signs was born. It has evolved into a full blown sign and design business with full large format printing and lamination capabilities. AbsoGraph has given me the opportunity to have both our son and daughter under the watchful eye of a parent rather than that of a day care center. This was a big factor in the decision making process as to how the dynamics of the business would work. This has made this even a bigger dream come true. So I look at each and every customer as a driving force to keep these dreams alive.

"The purpose of advertising is to increase the public's awareness of you. What better way than though good signage? Most business signs are well-proportioned, carefully balanced, tastefully drawn and perfectly color-coordinated. In other words, utterly predictable and effectively invisible. The five most common mistakes made in business-sign design are:
   1.
Attempting to be understated or elegant;

   2.
Attempting to "fit," or blend into, the surrounding environment;

   3.
Under spending;

4. Including too much information;

5. Placing the sign too high.
(The eyes of drivers tend to stay focused at windshield height. Low signs are better in town. Tall signs are better on freeways where they'll be read--at windshield height--from great distances.)"   By Roy Williams  from Entrepreneur .com

My wife, a Director of Finance for a national hotel company as well, has been the back bone of support for me and our growth. It goes with out saying that having a finance degree and 11 years of corporate financial experience is a good asset to have at your disposal when trying to get a company off the ground. So far it has paid off in many ways and I look forward to every customer I meet.
   Starting off with interests in design and architecture I went to joint vocational school and then on to college. About this time the golf war was underway and building was at a snails pace and getting a job in architecture was nearly impossible so that is when I got into the hospitality industry. I did very well in this for 13 years and got a lot of gratification from it but something was still missing. In college is where I was first introduced to AutoCAD, a computer based design program used in the drafting and engineering industry. I later realized that programs used in the sign industry were base off similar ideas and it was a rather easy transition into the computer side of the sign industry. I have since found a passion for computers and the like and have a wealth of software that assist me in all aspects of design and signs. I still strive to stay at the forefront of the technological age and I am always upgrading to the latest software to produce better and better signs. Some of the programs that are always up and running are:
FLEXISIGN PRO
PHOTOSHOP CS
ILLUSTRATOR CS
IMAGE READY CS

Well there is a few out there who have had some interesting takes on where the name came from. One of my favorites was a very dear customer of mine came up with, he thought I really like Absolute Vodka and that is where he thought the name originated from. I just chuckled. That could not be farther from the truth. AbsoGRAPH Signs name derived from the combination of the two words Absolute and Graphics. This is what I first came up with as a business name, as you could have already guessed in today's computer age, the name was already taken and the web address was also not available. So, AbsoGRAPH is what it became. It also strategically places me at the front of the listings in the phone book. ;)
   My interest in vinyl signs naturally expanded into other types of signs. I combined my interest in architecture and started doing monument signs, adding an architectural flare to any existing business. We also offer a wealth of other sign solutions including: vehicle and fleet lettering, banners, magnets, business/office signs, real-estate and construction, a-frame, large format digital printing, trade show and pop-up displays & vehicle wraps. So AbsoGRAPH Signs can handle a wide scope of your visual identity & advertising needs. We also offer a wide variety of sign solutions to fit anyone's needs or budget. We would like to be your sign designer. Please contact us so we can discuss your needs.

Thanks for giving us your time!
